קהילה מקומית יוצרת תרבות

מרכז האמנים והגלריה בתקוע הם בית לאמנות ותרבות היוצרים שפה משותפת וחיבור בין עולמות מאז 2018 בתקוע אשר במזרח גוש עציון.

מרכז האמנים הנו פלטפורמה לעשייה אמנותית ופיתוח תרבותי, תוך יצירת שיתופי פעולה בין אמנים מתחומי האמנות השונים, והנו מקום ראשון מסוגו מאפשר צמיחה של תרבות מקומית איכותית .

באמצעות יצירת תרבות ואמנות מקומית אנו מחזקים את החוסן הקהילתי של תושבי תקוע וגוש עציון תוך העצמת הזהות והגאווה של התושבים.

מרכז האמנים צמח מתוך הקהילה בתקוע אשר מתאפיינת ברב גוניות, ערכי אהבה לסביבה קהילתיות ויצירתיות. אחד מן המאפיינים היחודיים לקהילה הוא ריבוי האמנים החיים בקהילה, אחד מכל עשרה תושבים הוא אמן – מוזקאים, שחקני תיאטרון, פסלים, ציירים, רקדנים, אמני ניו מדיה ובעלי מלאכה, רבים מן האמנים מציגים ומופיעים על במות ובתערוכות בארץ ובעולם.

קהילת האמנים מפעילה באופן שוטף את הגלריה ע"ש מדליין גרינוולד ולצידה מתחם ובו חללי סטודיו ובית קפה

וכן יוזמת אירועי תרבות ואמנות מגוונים, הפונים לקהילה המקומית כמו גם לקהל הרחב .

בנוסף מתקיימים במקום ימי השראה וסדנאות לקבוצות ובתי ספר וקורסי אמנות שונים.

מאז ה7/10/23 מרכז האמנים יוזם ומפעיל את פרוייקט 'מרחב מוגן' אשר מטרתו לאפשר ביטוי ועיבוד לחוויות ואתגרי המלחמה באמצעים אמנותיים למגוון קהלים בגוש עציון וברחבי הארץ.

הגלריה ע"ש מדליין גרינוולד מביעה קול ייחודי וחשוב בתוך שדה התרבות בישראל, ומקדמת את העשיה התרבותית והאמנותית המתפתחת במרחב גוש עציון וסביבתו.

אמני המרכז פועלים בשותפות ומאורגנים על בסיס עמותה ללא מטרות רווח.

אנו מאמינים כי אמנות ותרבות היא שפה היכולה להוות גשר וחיבור בין קבוצות ומגזרים בישראל ובעולם, ופועלים על מנת לפתח במרחב המקומי ומחוצה לו הזדמנויות לביטוי ודיאלוג באמצעות יצירה ואמנות כמו גם פיתוח השפה התרבותית המקומית.

Tekoa Artists Center

A Local Community Creating Culture

The Tekoa Artists Center and Gallery serve as a home for art and culture, fostering a shared language and connection between worlds since 2018 in Tekoa, located in eastern Gush Etzion.

The Artists Center provides a platform for artistic activity and cultural development, encouraging collaboration between artists from various disciplines. As the first of its kind, the center enables the growth of high-quality local culture. Through the creation of local art and culture, we strengthen the community resilience of Tekoa and Gush Etzion while enhancing residents' identity and pride.

The Artists Center grew from within the Tekoa community, which is characterized by diversity, environmental consciousness, creativity, and a strong sense of community. A unique feature of this community is the high number of artists—one in ten residents is an artist, including musicians, theater actors, sculptors, painters, dancers, new media artists, and craftsmen. Many of these artists exhibit their work and perform on stages and in galleries across Israel and worldwide.

The artist community manages the Madeline Greenwald Gallery, alongside a complex that includes studio spaces and a café. They also initiate diverse cultural and artistic events, catering to both the local community and the general public. In addition, the center hosts inspirational days, workshops for groups and schools, and various art courses.

Since October 7, 2023, the Artists Center has been running the "Safe Space" project, which provides artistic tools for expression and processing the experiences and challenges of war for various communities in Gush Etzion and across Israel.

The Madeline Greenwald Gallery brings a unique and essential voice to Israel’s cultural landscape, promoting the evolving artistic and cultural scene in Gush Etzion and beyond.

The center’s artists operate collectively as a nonprofit organization, working together to develop a sustainable model for local cultural and artistic production.

We believe that art and culture serve as a universal language, bridging gaps between different groups and communities in Israel and worldwide. Our mission is to create spaces for artistic expression and dialogue, both within our local community and beyond, while fostering the growth of a unique local cultural identity.
